Comments |
Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): BamHI--3.2, 1.8; BglII/HindIII--3.1, 1.15, 0.91; HindIII--3.2, 1.75. Contains the complete coding sequence. Contains 20 fewer bp in the 5' untranslated region than pH15C (ATCC 68192). The mobility of the protein produced by COS-7 transfectants is not affected by tunicamycin. The 3' untranslated region contains an Alu repeat. A 0.7 kb BglII/HindIII fragment from the insert is repeat-free. The vector is modified from pcD, with a promoter constructed from the SV40 early promoter and the R segment and U5 sequence of the long terminal repeat of human T-cell leukemia virus type 1 (HTLV-1 LTR). |
