Lysozyme-sensitive host for protoplast production and transformation
This host is very sensitive to lysozyme (minimum inhibitory concentration = 3.2 ug/ml) facilitating transformation of protoplasts and extraction of DNA.
Derived from Corynebacterium glutamicum 225-106 (FERM P-5945).
Depositor recommends a medium of 2% powdered bouillon and 0.5% yeast extract.
