Animals were immunized with NS-1 mouse myeloma cells. Spleen cells were fused with Y3 rat myeloma cells. The antibody reacts with a 95000 to 100000 dalton antigen (ICAM-1) on activated and proliferating murine lymphocytes. The antibody partially inhibits Con A stimulation of spleen cells but does not inhibit LPS stimulation. The antibody strongly inhibits mixed lymphocyte responses (MLR). The ICAM-1 antigen is absent on most unstimulated thymocytes and spleen cells. |

Subculturing |
Medium Renewal: Every 2 to 3 days
Cultures can be maintained by addition or replacement of fresh medium. Start cultures at 2 X 105 cells/ml and maintain between 1 X 105 and 1 X 106 cells/ml. |
