Complete Growth Medium The base medium for this cell line is RPMI-1640 Medium (ATCC 30-2001).To make the complete growth medium, add the following components to the base medium: Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS; ATCC 30-2020) to a final concentration of 5%.
Subculturing Cultures can be maintained by the addition of fresh medium or replacement of medium. Alternatively, cultures can be established by centrifugation with subsequent resuspension in fresh medium. Cultures grow as floating aggregates of round cells and as attached epithelial-like cells. Attached cells may be subcultured using 0.25% trypsin - 0.53mM EDTA.
Subcultivation Ratio: 1:5 to 1:8 is recommended.
Medium Renewal: Add fresh medium as cell density increases.
Cryopreservation
85% Culture Media + 10% FBS+ 5% DMSO. Cell culture tested DMSO is available as ATCC Catalog No. 4-X.
