Biosafety classification is based on U.S. Public Health Service Guidelines, it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that their facilities comply with biosafety regulations for their own country.
Applications
The antibody reacts with the Fc fragment, not the Fab fragment of mouse IgG2a, at a determinant probably located within the CH2 region.
Tested and found negative for ectromelia virus (mousepox).
Derivation
Spleen cells were fused with NS-1 myeloma cells.
Genes Expressed
immunoglobulin; monoclonal antibody; against the Ig-1a allotype on mouse IgG2a
Cellular Products
immunoglobulin; monoclonal antibody; against the Ig-1a allotype on mouse IgG2a
Comments
Animals were immunized with antigen - antibody complexes (BALB/c anti Bordetella pertussis with B pertussis).

Complete Growth Medium
The base medium for this cell line is ATCC Hybri-Care Medium, Catalog No. 46-X. Hybri-Care Medium is supplied as a powder and should be reconstituted in 1 L cell-culture-grade water. To make the complete growth medium, add the following components to the base medium:
fetal bovine serum to a final concentration of 20%
1.5 g/L sodium bicarbonate for use with 5% CO2 in air atmosphere
ATCC tested fetal bovine serum is available as ATCC Catalog No. 30-2020.
Subculturing
Medium Renewal: Every 2 to 3 days
Cultures can be maintained by addition or replacement of fresh medium. Start cultures at 1 x 10 exp5 cells/ml ay maintain between 1 x 10 exp5 and 1 x 10 exp6 cells/ml.
Isotype
IgG2a
Name of Depositor
LA Herzenberg
Deposited As
mouse (B cell); mouse (myeloma)
