The hybridoma cell line 807.33 secretes a mouse monoclonal antibody (IgG2a) reactive with the G1 protein of La Crosse Virus. This antibody as well as 807.31 (ATCC CRL-2282) and 807.15 (ATCC CRL-2287) is useful for identifying infection by La Crosse virus and other California serogroup Bunyaviruses. The 807.33 antibody has been used in ELISA, Western Blots, immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescence and neutralization assays. The line was produced by fusing P3X63Ag8.653 myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice that had been immunized with La Crosse Virus. |
